1.1 Homeless Things

Let Us Get Rich Shall We?

But before we get rich, we have to be dirt poor. Now I'll be following all rules of Rags to Riches. Since this is my first time, I will not be adding anymore challenges as the rules and guidelines themselves are hard enough.

Let us meet the lady that gets the honor of being poor.

Meet Laura Locks

Personality: Loves Outdoors, Romantic and Family-Oriented 
Ambition:Big Happy Family 

Cari:Are you excited?
L: TO be poor? 
C:uhhh well for the adventure!
L:Uh yeah I guess so I don't have a choice!
C: but hey all the outdoors time!
L: long as you get me in a home before winter
C:deal


I was tempted to dress her up as poor as possible but I wanted to her to appear as normal as possible to the towns people. 

Time to buy a plot of land!



The biggest lot as is 50 x 40 in Newcrest so thats her lovely plot and I drained her funds.
ahahah yay! Sobs
Then I added 3 houses since Newcrest was completely empty. And yes I added some attractive dudes for later ;) 

Time to make money and build up skill!



First thing she did was get started on her logic skill by reading at the library. I realized she would be hungry soon and decided it was time to make some money. 


I was able to make a whooping 402$ by collecting from stones and logs.

L:How am I not skinny from running around for 5 hours?!?


Then it was time to read up on handiness. She also chatted with some locals. Her social meter drains fast!

L: no crap lady I spend days foraging I need people to keep me sane!


Cooked some 13$ hot dogs. I made sure to eat as many servings as possible till it spoiled. 
L: Fattening me?
C:not intentionally lol but hey keeps ya warm at night!


Her first napping spot was inside the bathrooms at the park.


found 65$ more stuff from collecting. Lots of parks in other neighbors are polished so not much wild pants or digging sites are near so I pretty much stick to the same park. Tried to be mix it up and failed lol. 


Fishing was not very fast in bringing in the money. Only made 6$ from catching a guppy after a few hours. Words to the wise- do not focus on fishing!


Naps were taken in sets of 2 since it doesn't fill your sleep meter. 


I really hadn't done much socializing so I met a few people, played chess and increased my logic to level 2. 


By this point she was getting some looks from the townspeople because not many people nap on benches.
 L: But honestly who are they to judge? especially since my family is gonna be the richest beeches of them all some day. 
C: yes yes you show them


I think someone took pity on her because I woke up to free food! woo!! But not woohoo. I have very little time to find her a husband at this point. But rules don't allow it anyway. As in they can't marry yet so I'm not worried.


Life right now is pretty boring as she collects, gardens in the park, eats and naps but she did take a break to roller-skate. 
L:Thank you I was about to die of boredom!


Gardening got her 108$ from strawberries and 54$ from snap dragons. 
 

I increased her handiness skill to level 2 and then went gardening and got 162$ from strawberries and 48$ from snapdragons and 20$ from frogs. I finally had enough money to buy a tent to put up at the park. Remember it cannot be on your home lot. Honestly haven't visited my home lot. Like no need to ya know. 


FINALLY I reached one requirement to start building a home. She reached logic level 3. Now for handiness! I accidentally bought the second book but it wasn't bringing up her handiness to I went back to volume 1. Rip that 150$


She made 429$ more dollars from gardening, fishing and gathering. Honestly its hard to blog much at this point because I don't want to bore you with eat, sleep, gather repeat. But I mean isn't that the life of a homeless person? boring and hopeless. Thankfully she has made many friends through the neighborhoods and her spirits are up. My main goal right now it get to handiness level five and about 2,000 so I can have a somewhat decent home.

1.7- Love, Hate, and Birthdays

1.8- Love, Hate, and Birthdays  We were able to avoid two toddlers at once because finally, Aylin maxed out all her skills. Pretty proud moment here as this is the first in my history of playing sims. It just was never a goal of mine. But boy was it harder than I thought!  Since you can age them up once they reach their goal, I am uncertain if not finishing their goal( like maxing out a skill) before they age is seen as a failure. I personally don't want that pressure so I turned off aging and she technically aged up a day late and I made Oliver take a vacation day to help her.  Thankfully the days flew by and before we knew it Dawn was a cute little toddler.  But unfortunately, her randomized trait is fussy.  Laura: Ohh boy I am in love with Aylin's study area under her bed.
